Marry Me With Your Own Money

Today is not one of my best days blog wise cos I'm sooooo lost as to what I actually want to write but I'll just keep typing. (2hour pause). Ok! Since I still dont know what to talk about, I'll let you entertain me. So here, give me your honest opinion on the question below:

IS THERE SOMETHING WRONG WITH A WOMAN SPONSORING HER WEDDING WHILE THE HUSBAND 'SUPPORTS'? would you as a woman be willing to do it for any man? and as a man would you be comfortable supporting a woman while she bears bulk of the financial burden??  Whatever your answer is, tell me why?

I wait!

TGIF!

  1. whatever happened to a man's place as the head? Well I cant! I'm assuming 'readiness' to marry means financial, emotional and spiritual. No I wont sponsor my own wedding. Ngee

  2. i'l never do it !! its bad enough when you borrow your boy friend money almost all the time. if he really wants to be the head of the family then he should be ready for the responsibilities attached to the title. if he cant afford it then he should stay off!!!

  3. I want a super grand wedding so I will be too selfish to leave all the financing for him however he must be able to finance a good chunk of it so if he can't do that then i'm sorry we just might have to wait longer because loan is certainly not an Option, i'm not about to feed the crowd and start sweating myself to pay afterward lol

  7. sincerely speaking, the moment u start paying abi helping out with that kind responsibility, i feel the man will relax, anyway i wont generalize, but most will relax oh, let him work/plan wedding with the little he has and the babe can support, not a must for the wedding to be wasteful all in trying to meet up, a man should be hard working oh

  8. nonye, let me ask u one question....when d bible said, wives submit to ur husbands, does it include finance, like she will work for 30 or 31 days and submit all to the Man, cuz there was an argument and most men were saying, it includes finances. well for me, its not as if i wont like to be submissive or support, but i will prefer if the man can at least prove that he can take care of his home with what he has, then as his help mate, i will support cuz the moment you as a lady start doing everything, inferiority begins to set in and he d context of who is the man starts, he will now become intimated even when the lady is not rubbing it to his face....men should just work and be responsible, is it so HARD.. most of these now look for rich babe to marry or befriend...lol frm B

  9. The truth of the matter is that women become religious when it suits them (I should know, I am female). This economy may not allow the man carry all that load (unless you decide you want to marry a rich man). I don't see why we can't share the expenses (the couple is stuck together for the rest of their lives). The lady would do a lot more 'helping' as the marriage progresses. The best way to go about this is to strike a balance.

  13. I'm of the opinion that the man should bear the financial burden while the woman supports HOWEVER, I have seen a situation where the lady bore it all and from what I see, the man doesnt take her for granted and they actually do love themselves very much. I personally wont want to do that for the simple fact that I dont trust myself not to bring it up later in the marriage especially if the man's financial situation doesnt change soon enough. But a situation where the man takes care of things as a man and then later things dont go so well for him, i'll be willing to fill in because I know he has been a 'man' once and can be again so my doubts are clear....

  15. i am from nairobi kenya nad the african culture is that a man whose wife does the spending is less of a man and so many guys would rather loan a bank than have their wives take lead plus many believe the husband pays the dowry not the other way round. all this are being faced out with technology and even modernity. today ladies are bold to initiate the first move if they like a guy
